Hotel Gaviota Río Miel
Opened a few years ago, in 2013, the 3-star hotel Río Miel pays homage to the river of the same name that runs very close to there. The three-story building is located on the Malecón de Baracoa, opposite the legendary Hotel La Rusa, which is an incentive for those who like to contemplate the sea. As a curious fact, is one of the few hotels that has solar energy in their system.
According to the legend, anyone who bathes in the Río Miel’s waters will stay forever in Baracoa.
In a general sense it is a hotel with a more modern appearance than others, small, quiet, clean and with a fantastic location to explore the city.
The reception, the bar and the breakfast area constitute the same space and there is no lift, which can be an obstacle for visitors with locomotion problems. It does not have a restaurant, but the central location of the hotel will allow you to quickly find several paladares with attractive menus, as well as many other places of cultural interest.
Although it does not have a swimming pool, the staff at the reception can arrange a visit to the pools of the Hotel El Castillo or the Hotel Porto Santo.
The hotel also has 12 large and pleasant rooms, with balconies facing the sea, equipped with air conditioning, safe, television, telephone, hair dryer and hot and cold water.
A nice hotel to spend a few days in Baracoa touring the city and enjoying the sea breeze.
